Two Teams From IIT Madras win NTPC Regional Round Quiz

Visakhapatnam: The two teams of IIT Madras bagged the top two positions at the Regional Round of South India of NTPC Electron Quiz conducted in Chennai on Saturday. The quiz witnessed a participation of 105 teams. Six top teams qualified in the preliminary round and competed in the finals. The top two teams will now be going ahead for the National round to be organised at New Delhi. The quiz was conducted by KM Prashanth, GM (Corp Communication), a veteran in quizzing of more than 30 years

GM (CSR) Jayanarayanan GM along with SN Panigrahi, GM (HR) NTPC were present on the occasion. The winning team won a Rs30,000 worth prize followed by Rs20,000 for all the runners up and Rs10,000 for the third prize winner. The remaining three out of the six teams were awarded each with Rs4,000 worth prize money. The NTPC Electron Quiz, organised since 2004, is a platform to showcase intellectual prowess and a key initiative to nurture a generation of thinkers and problem-solvers.
